According to Chris Voss of the Chris Voss Show, nationally recognized social media expert, Empire Avenue (now EmpireKred) has a “Goon Squad.”
Over 5 posts on my blogs I documented issues with Empire Avenue, from their rogue volunteers, running a “wall of shame” on Brands, attacking Brands reputations online, not answering complaints, having a “goon squad” of endorsed volunteers attacking customers who complained, refusing to discipline internally thereby encouraging more attacks on Brands, etc. What I witnessed was the worst travesty in the annals of customer service I have ever seen. After a month of private discussions with EA to change things, I went public. Only then did they begin to change, but the attacks on me and others grew by their “goon squad.” In the end, I went to EA’s Angel Investor and EA had to shut down its Chat Room and Chat Mod “goons squad.” EA shamelessly has never apologized or produced it damning chat logs as promised by their CEO. This is one of those posts, you can read the rest by Search in the upper right for ‘Empire.’ Don’t play EA or if you do save your REAL money.
I have met these “goons”, and their willingness to engage in attacks on their own customers not only on Empire Avenue (EmpireKred) itself (which is crazy enough who attacks their own customers and expects to stay in business?) but across other social media platforms triggered a CA DoJ inquiry into Twitter (the only platform that allowed their abuse after I reported it) and the San Francisco DA’s office twice intervened.
According to Empire Avenue (now Empire Kred) Admin Robby Ball, there are “inpowered” individuals at Empire Avenue abusing their positions.
Customers have acknowledged seeing cyberbullying on Empire Avenue.
Gareth Davies has been suspended for tweeting my private information, violent threats and warned again for non violent threats.
Chris Sandys was warned for non violent threats.
Keith Gill was moderated by instagram for cyberbullying.
When I reported the abuse initially, Empire Support refused to act, indicating they valued their privacy and they weren’t responsible for “someone” tracking me, their customer, down on the internet.
And yes, they actually accused me of abuse for reporting others abuse… This is astonishing.
That “someone” was Gareth Davies, a leader of Empire Avenue, and the person abusing other customers of Empire Avenue’s even as he is in leadership at Empire Avenue (now EmpireKred.)
Gareth Davies has a history of threatening other players mothers and doxing them. He has been abusing customers of Empire Avenue’s for years on Twitter.
Gareth also attacked another customer of Empire Avenue’s to try to attack me.
This man is a vicious predator, yet remains a leader at @empireave.
Interestingly Steven L. Johnson, Brand Manager/Admin has posted that member of public forums, such as those on Empire Avenue are fair game for observation.
That “someone” that “tracked me down” was Gareth Davies, a leader of Empire Avenue’s. If Empire Avenue wanted to know my real name (and no, their ToS didn’t require use of legal name, support simply lied about that as “organizations” were allowed) they simply had to ask.
I had no problem supplying my real name to Twitter when I filed a DMCA takedown request against Gareth Davies for his abuse of my copyright, and with the SF DA’s office and CA DOJ.
These are some of the still visible tweets. The worst offenses were moderated by twitter and the tweets deleted.
To see Gareth’s tweets to me, simply go to snapbird.org and search @me_gareth to @wanderinpoet.
Or go to “Old Tweets” and find the date range between 5/30/2014 and about late January, 2015.
Remember, I’m a customer of Empire Avenue’s (acknowledged by support), Gareth Davies is a leader of that corporation, and they refused to act to stop his abuse.
Empire Avenue’s astonishing refusal to stop the abuse of myself, their own customer, simply confirms what Chris Voss has earlier documented. The existence of a “Goon Squad.”
These fine individuals were named in legal papers (case denied) seeking to silence my blogging about Empire Avenue. That attempt failed.
Team Leader Nance Larson (@nancelarson)
Leader Keith Gill (AKA #DigitalKeith @DigitalKeith)
Leader Chris Sandys (@usafa_93)
Leader Gareth Davies (@me_Gareth)
Leader Teril Gidwitz was also named, but I have seen no public utterances about myself from her mouth. The only thing she did was accuse another of potential fraud on Empire Avenue’s forums without supporting evidence.
However when I asked her to stop communicating with me, she did so.
What’s a “Leader” at Empire Avenue?
Someone that paid (or was gifted by others, such as Nance Larson) for control of Empire Avenue’s marketing and other departments.
Chris Sandys wanted this abuse “off the record.” He was willing to manufacture false allegations against me to try to do so.
An agent? LoL.
Amazingly enough, Empire Avenue Brand Manager Admin Steven L. Johnson was mentioned in a tweet where Gareth Davies admits that he cannot be blocked, which negates a key safety feature of Twitter’s.
And Keith Gill (AKA #DigitalKeith)? He’s a magnet for violent people I guess…
Mr. Gill gets mentioned in a lot of intimidating tweets.
This is what Twitter General Council Vijaya Gadde has to say about abuse.
This is, to put it mildly, not good enough. Freedom of expression means little as our underlying philosophy if we continue to allow voices to be silenced because they are afraid to speak up. We need to do a better job combating abuse without chilling or silencing speech.
And this is what they still allow…
Apparently some types of threats, bullying and intimidation is ok.
Having never threatened anyone anywhere at anytime, I’m astonished that Twitter still allows this to occur.
Yes, that’s Opinionated Man, WordPress blogger, threatening me.
Empire Avenue has changed their name after being bought by Kred to EmpireKred.
However customers report still being abused on their site, and describe the takeover by Kred as “creepy.”
As EmpireKred won’t act, one wonders why Twitter still allows the abuse of EmpireKred customers (And Twitter’s) on Twitter?
In the fine tradition of satire, parody and speaking truth to power, I continue to satirize the Empire Avenue “Goon Squad.”
I reported a bully because he is a bully.
After all, he announced his intent to bully his own customer. That’s the very definition of a bully.
And Empire Avenue (now Empire Kred support) refused to stop them.
(Chris Sandys is a leader at Empire Avenue, now EmpireKred.)
And Keith Gill (#DigitalKeith) simply continues this abuse by continuing to tweet lies.
Have you been abused by the “Goon Squad”? The San Francisco DistrictyAttorney, Consumer Protection Unit can help: (415) 551-9595.
Avoid EmpireKred, at least until they clean up their leadership and stop abusing their own customers.
They are simply atrocious.
What did attacking their own customers do to their business?
