#Twitter Moderation Utterly Unpredicatable, Allows Abuse, Moderates Truth

Twitter insists they are trying to allow and respect free speech while moderating abuse.

However, when Twitter moderates truth, and allows lies to stand unmoderated, that apears not to be the case.

Keith Gill, AKA @digitalkeith visited my blog about community building and left the following comment with the linked below tweet embedded.

Given that the tweet isn’t factual, I wonder why it’s allowed to stand?

I am not anonymous and Keith Gill was moderated by instagram for cyberbullying when he posted that very image.

I wrote a blog addressing Mr. Gill’s contentions and tweeted it off the “sharing” system in place on WordPress.

Conduct Offensive

My question is entirely legitimate given Mr. Gill’s strange comment on my blog.

And the tweet was in keeping with Twitter’s stated policy as per this email received when I was being impersonated online.

And of course this tweet (and blog) is based on a Tweet form @garyloper to @digitalkeith about his offensive conduct.

Can a brand, or a person that represents themselves as a brand suppress the truth on Twitter?

The individual is a digital marketing manager for @avisolve.

Incidentally Klout confirmed to me that gaming of Klout is possible but not considered economically feasible.

Can Twitter moderation determine what honest satire, commentary and news is when it’s presented on one account?

I think not.

However after the CA DoJ inquiry into Twitter and the SF DA’s office twice opening files in the consumers protection unit I can only assume this behavior on Twitter’s part is intentional.

The abuse has been ongoing since 5/2014 with Keith Gill joining in in August 2014 when I discovered him running false advertising through Empire Avenue’s “missions” system.

The missions system is used by people to promote their social media posts.

And as CBC news reports,

However, one advocate said the real test will be how Twitter enforces the rules.

“The new rules are definitely an improvement,” said Rabbi Abraham Cooper of the Digital Terrorism and Hate Project at the Simon Wiesenthal Center in Los Angeles. “But the question is: Will they be accompanied by a more proactive attitude toward making sure repeat offenders are identified and permanently removed?”

A Twitter spokesman declined comment Tuesday.

In a blog post, the company said: “The updated language emphasizes that Twitter will not tolerate behaviour intended to harass, intimidate, or use fear to silence another user’s voice. As always, we embrace and encourage diverse opinions and beliefs — but we will continue to take action on accounts that cross the line into abuse.”

I’m still waiting for the reality to match Twitter’s public posts.

Why A Corporatocracy  Equals Fascism

Keith Gill, AKA #DigitalKeith, leader of social media company EmpireKred, thought that we both live in a corporatocracy in the United States and that a corporation could not violate a customers civil rights.

Do you want to be the customer of a corporation that believes they can do anything to you and cannot violate your civil rights by virtue of it’s being a corporation exercising it’s property rights?

Is DigitalKeith’s retweet an endorsement?  This quote is positively Orwellian.

I have no idea how a former USAF veteran could have been turned into such a fascist, but it seems clear he is one to me.

According to the Libary of Economics and Liberty,

As an economic system, fascism is socialism with a capitalist veneer.

With the United States government engaging in partnerships with corporations to “invest at home” it’s clear there’s a major shift from a “free market” with limited intervention in the economy into one of corporate control where citizens are subject to the whims of corporations with little to no recourse.

Fortunately California is not a corporatocracy, and the CA DoJ and SF DA’s office acted to protect consumers from Keith Gill and the “goon squad” of Empire Avenue.

Do you believe that consumers, aka citizens are protected by the Constitution whether they are directly addressing their government, or simply by virtue of being a citizen of the United States exercising their rights wherever they are?

Are corporations “benevolent dictatorships”?

Keith Gill is on record on Paul Steinbrueck’s blog stating that,

I have no idea why Keith Gill doesn’t respect consumer advocacy, I just know that he doesn’t, and he’s not above trying to be intimidating to try to get his way.

Capitalism relies on informed consumers not abused by corporate leaders.

If there’s no meeting of minds, there’s not a valid contract, or possibility of informed consent to a sale.

There can’t be a meeting of minds when one side of the discussion, in this case Keith Gill of Avisolve, is willing to use cyberbullying, harassment and intimidation to try to stifle discussion of events that are well within one’s legal rights.

Keith Gill should be ashamed to describe himself as a little L libertarian.

I believe he’s a fascist, to the core.

How Can Employee Affect A Brand? Caveat Emptor; Of “Wolves” and “Sheep” In The Free Market

Do you divide the world into the simplistic notion of “wolves” and “sheep”?

Or do you realize that we are all individuals that make discrete decisions based upon our own needs, desires and resources?

That the decision to enter into a purchase reflects an informed choice made by an informed consumer?

In comedy, the advice is to “know your audience.”

A corollary in social media sales would be to, uhhh, “Know Your Audience.”

According to  Jill Schiefelbein. former Business Professor and @Entrepreneur contributor,

Obviously the inability to accept correct feedback, critique and crticism marks a social sales amateur and differentiates the true professionals with a message that helps others from a person intent on simply fulfilling his own needs, desires and goals, no matter the costs to others.

Even potential customers in the marketplace.

Caveat Emptor if considering doing business with Keith Gill, aka DigitalKeith, leader of EmpireKred and employee of Avisolve.

We know how DigitalKeith feels.

How Can A Corporate #Marketing Mgr’s Reputation Affect The Brand?

Keith Gill, AKA Digitalkeith. leader of EmpireKred and Corporate Marketing Manager for @Avisolve seems to be a Brands worst case public relations disaster.

An individuals reputation can be thought of as their personal brand.

According to Find and Convert,

Personal branding is well recognized as the public earned reputation of an individual. The digital world, fueled by content marketing and social media, has propelled the concept of personal branding into the mainstream.

The corporate organization that embraces the benefits of employee personal branding with a plan, can reap significant benefits. Here’s a look at some of the key planning elements to harness the personal brand in the corporate workplace.

According to CyberAlert,

Businesses wonder if they should encourage employees to mention their employers on their personal social media accounts or discourage or even forbid mentions of the company. Some companies hope to gain substantial PR and marketing benefits; others fear employee social media comments will reflect badly on the company or lead to a PR crisis. Employees may be equally unsure about if and how they can mention their employers online.

According to the Huffington Post,

No matter what your product or service, your employees are the most powerful representation of your brand.

We have all dealt with the customer service representative that either builds loyalty or breaks it based on our experience. And while new customers were once thought of as the lifeblood of successful companies, current customers and customer loyalty has become more valuable than ever in our age of social media.

2.  Are you aware Mr. Gill was running demonstrably false advertising through Empire Avenue’s socialmedia promotions system, and continued after Klout (@kloutsupport) confirmed his advertising was incorrect?

2A:  Are you aware that a complaint with the FTC was filed (and accepted by the FTC) at the direction of Ethel Newlin of the San Francisco District Attorney’s office?

3.  Is trolling with abusive comments on blogs and in tweets an appropriate response rather than accepting constructive (and correct) criticism and critique?

4.  Are you aware that Mr. Gill’s abuse (along with others) was so severe that the CA DoJ opened an inquiry into the matter? (xref 615640) and that the San Francisco DA’s office twice intervened?

This “intervention” was corraborated by Steven Krohn on 2/5/2015, 1 day after Twitter made a statement that they “sucked at dealing with abuse” (Dick Costolo CEO.)

The San Francisco DA’s office  (Ethel Newlin)credits blogging by this blogger with helping change Twitter’s abuse policy.  Keith Gill was a party in that abuse.

5.  is it your company position that disseminating the obviously false information of a blogger (horrible invasion of privacy) who has been writing about Empire Avenue (now EmpireKred) is an appropriate response from a sales professional in your employ?

(Tweet containing private information on file, not published, Keith Gill has since deleted the tweet.)

6.  Is Mr. Gill participating in doxing potential customers and other people on your time on his twitter account or social media accounts?

Gareth Davies (@me_gareth) also a leader at EmpireKred, has been suspended for tweeting my private information. For Keith Gill to involve himself in such unprofessional conduct is shocking to me.

Given that I am not anonymous, are your sales people ok to lie?

4.  Does Keith Gill promote any Avisolve marketing material or work product through EmpireKred social media promotion (sharing) “missions” system?

7.  Are twitter’s customers your potential customers or are they sheep to be bullied?

#SocialSales “Rock Star” Conduct “Too Offensive To Ignore” #eav #socialmedia

More and more people are becoming fed up with Keith Gill’s (AKA #Digitalkeith, leader of EmpireKred) offensive ways online.

Keith Gill is currently a corporate marketing manager for @avisolve.

It’s strange that a man that makes his living in the digital economy thinks his conduct in that same economy (he tweets for his employer, @avisolve) isn’t “REAL.”

Of course his offensive conduct is real, and people find it highly offensive.

Of course this is nothing for a man moderated for cyberbullying, and who abuses women online as well.

Just add abuse of babies to the mix, now.

Twitter expert Gary Loper finds Keith Gill’s acts to offensive to ignore.

And Keith Gill?  Well he’s apparently cracked up and is referring to himself in third person on Twitter.

What will the #Fresno Troll do next?
