$TWTR @Jack @Support Fail As Lone Conservative Director of Communications Makes Threats

The Director of Communcations for Lone Conservative (@loconservative), Michael McClister (@themidmerican) has threatened me on Twitter.

Mr. McClister, who previously posted my art without credit for which I filed DCMA takedowns and prevailed, is under the mistaken belief that I have doxed him.

Twitter, in all their wisdom, locked the account and forced the deletion of one (?) tweet.

However twitter left the following tweets up.

The tweets tell the full tale of Mr. McClister’s vicious threats.

Twitter General Council Vijaya Gadde wrote in her Washington Post Op-Ed of April 16, 2015 that,

This is, to put it mildly, not good enough. Freedom of expression means little as our underlying philosophy if we continue to allow voices to be silenced because they are afraid to speak up. We need to do a better job combating abuse without chilling or silencing speech.

With vicious predatorial people like Michael McClister on Twitter one should doubt Twitter’s commitment to protect their consumers.

One should also doubt Twitter’s ability to protect their own business as Mr. McClister is heavily promoting Gab.Ai, the home of the alt right, on his twitter account and in articles penned at Lone Conservative.

Twitter’s inability to control the abuse by people such as Mr. McClister is a prominent feature of their lack of growth and corresponding stock price drop.

Of worrisome note is the rise of anti semitism on twitter, and now the Daily Stormer being heavily posted on gab.ai by Rickey Vaughn, a prominent suspended twitter account in the alt right.

Andrew Torba, CEO of GAB writes,

At Gab, we believe that free speech and free thought are under attack. Political correctness has risen up at the expense of freedom of speech and has become a cancer on discourse and culture. We think that people shouldn’t treat unpleasant, counter-cultural, or conflicting ideas, words, or behaviors as full-scale criminal offenses.”

Troubling Rise of Theft of Art And Lack of Credit For Work On #SocialMedia

Apparently feeling that proper credit for work done isn’t worth their time due to their positions in  a for profit business that relies on volunteer labor, certain someone’s failed to give proper credit for works created.

I have noted 3 properly credited works, however.  DMCA takedowns were not filed on those instances.

Given the longstanding policy posted on this blog as to copyright, DMCA takedowns were filed and honored by Twitter and WordPress (so far.)

This lack of credit is not surprising given the strange goings on in their former slack chat, so I wonder if they believe if anyone else has any rights at all?

(A certain intern refused to do assigned work, and wrote sexual poetry that a 17 year old minor responded to.)

This is simply more reason while small, but abusive businesses that rely on interstate commerce for their existence should be regulated.

As Congress expressly has the power to regulate interstate commerce, and the Commerce Department exists for this reason it should be simple enough to do.

Given the patriarchal nature of the CEO of the related entity, it seems clear they wish to undermine congressional authority to act in the nations interest.
